I would like to get a group of able bodies together next Saturday morning May 25th to spend a few hours cleaning. What we need to do is to knock down the weeds along the sidewalks, and clean up the tumble weeks that are along the outside. If you can make it please let me know. I would like to start at 7:00 am to avoid the heat, and will get a roll off dumpster if we get enough help. I know its Memorial Day weekend, but I am hoping that most people are staying home. Let me know if you can help. Bring your hoes, your power weed-eaters, and gloves.

We have a major weed problem on the land, lots of tumble weeks blowing around, and lots of new weeds beginning to grow. Anyone know of a landscaping company that might give us a bid to clean it up? We might also round up 30-40 volunteers and a couple of big trash containers. I’m open for comments.

If you out at our local salsa festival today, we are hosting free parking on our land. This has been the traditional parking for most public events at the park, and we hope to continue the tradition. You may see our big trailier in the corner of the lot. This will serve as our temporary sign until we get one approved from the city. Enjoy the day!

We held our first ever gathering on our property on Sunday evening. We had a great time of worship, prayer, vision, and just connecting on the dirt. It was awesome to be able tell people that they didn’t have to leave. They could stay as long as they liked. It felt good to have a home.
I have added a few pictures for you to see.

Mary and Matt did some work this last week, and we have our first rough idea
of what our new campus might look like. Its an amazing plan, with lots of open
space. I love the idea of having it open from every direction. Also love Mary’s
meditation garden idea in the N. W. corner. What a great place to have for our
community to stop and pray. Perfect place. I also love the huge outside
amphitheather. Its still just a dream, but we know everything begins with a dream.
Please join us this Sunday @ 6:00 pm for a time of celebration and thanksgiving
on the property. We will do some walking of the dirt.

After six months of gruelling work, sacrificial giving, and a number of huge miracles by the One who created everything, it finally happened.
On Tuesday April 8th Community of Hope Church took title to 5 acres of land. This land sits on the North West corner of Adams Way and Porter Road, or directly South of Pacana Park. Our 5 acres sits in the South East corner of the empty lot. We have already began the process of design, and hope begin building very soon. We will have a map, and a site plan up in the next day or so.
We invite you to join us on Sunday April 20th @ 6:00 on the property for a time of thanks, prayer, and celebration.
Keep up with the happenings on the land via this blog.
